Privacy policy
This policy explains how Quiova Labs (“we”) processes personal information when you visit quiovalabs.com (the “Site”) or interact with our product communications, including the Yavara waiting list.
Quiova Labs is a studio based in Barcelona, Spain. For privacy requests or questions: support@quiova.app.
1. Controller
The controller of personal data collected through the Site is Quiova Labs (Barcelona, Spain). If we operate under a specific legal entity, we will update this section with the company name, tax ID, and registered address once publicly available.
2. Data we collect
Depending on how you use the Site, we may process:
- Waiting-list data: name (optional), email, preferred platform, and marketing consent.
- Technical browsing data: approximate IP, device/browser type, pages viewed, and interaction events when you accept analytics cookies.
- Communications: content you send to support@quiova.app.
3. Purposes and legal bases
We use this data to:
- Run the waiting list and notify you about early access to Yavara (legitimate interest and/or consent when you opt in).
- Measure Site usage in aggregate via analytics (cookie consent where required).
- Respond to support or legal requests (legitimate interest / legal obligation).
- Comply with applicable EU/Spanish law.
4. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 only if you accept analytics cookies in the consent banner. By default, analytics storage remains denied (Consent Mode v2).
You can accept or reject on first visit via the banner. We do not use third-party advertising cookies for remarketing.
5. Yavara (app) and financial data
Yavara is our personal-finance app. In the current phase, Yavara does not connect to banks or ask for bank credentials. Statements and financial data you import are processed and stored on your device (including local databases encrypted at rest on mobile, depending on version).
In this phase we do not send your financial data to Quiova Labs servers or create automatic cloud backups. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, request additional in-app consent.
AI or automation described in the product is meant to help you on-device; we do not use your financial data to train third-party models or for advertising.
6. Retention
We keep waiting-list emails while the list is active or until you ask to be removed. Analytics retention follows our GA4 settings. Support emails are kept as needed to handle the request and meet legal obligations.
7. Processors and transfers
We may use processors that handle data on our behalf (for example hosting/Netlify and, if you accept cookies, Google Analytics). Where data leaves the EEA, we use appropriate safeguards under applicable law (such as standard contractual clauses).
8. Your rights
If you are in the EEA/Spain, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
To exercise rights, email support@quiova.app stating the right you want to exercise and a contact channel. We may ask for reasonable information to verify your identity.
9. Children
The Site and our products are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect children’s data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will post the “last updated” date on this page. For material changes, we may email you when we have your address (for example, waiting list).
